The petition follows two video clips which recently went viral on social media in which Kisakyamukama uttered abusive, vulgar and defamatory statements against the Kabaka, the Katikkiro and the people of Buganda and clergy of the Catholic Church, which the councilors say were promoting sectarianism and tribalism.
Some of the projects which have been suspended are piggery, horticulture, poultry and passion fruit growing among other agriculture projects. Records from the district YLP focal person’s office indicate that almost all youth groups who have ventured into agriculture projects have recorded low or no return on investments.
According to the report, the district was allocated 382.12 million shillings under the Uganda Road Fund program, but the officers could only account for shillings 187 million.
