During the commissioning of the facilities at Bileafe Sub-county headquarters, the State Minister for Northern Uganda, Grace Freedom Kwiyucwiny, urged the farmers to take ownership and manage the facilities to enhance their livelihood. Kwiyucwiny also advised the farmers to increase their production to fight poverty.
According to Otim, he took the decision to suspend the committee and institute disciplinary measures after receiving numerous complaints about the conduct and performance of the members contrary to the ethical standards.
The dispute arises out of a decision by the ministry of education and sports to send capitation grants for the three affected schools through Madi Okollo district as opposed to the previous arrangement where their grants were sent through Terego district.

Peter Arubaku Bosses, the councilor representing Uriama sub county to Terego district council says an estimated 70 acres of cassava, rice and passion fruit gardens have so far been destroyed in the sub-county by animals belonging to the herdsmen.
