The Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga has allayed concerns raised by the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Egypt, Ali Abdel-Aal, on the use of the River Nile whose basin is situated in Uganda, on Lake Victoria.
The miners under Mubende United Miners’ Assembly (MUMA) tabled their plea before the Natural Resources Committee of Parliament, where they had been invited in relation to an earlier petition challenging their eviction from mining fields in Bukuya Sub County. The fields were taken over by an investor, Gemstones International.
MPs note that Azuba tabled the Traffic and Road Safety (Amendment) Bill, 2019 Traffic and Road Safety Bill, 2019 on 17th July this year and attached the Certificate of Financial Implications for the Traffic and Road Safety Act, 1998 (Amendment) Bill, 2018.
