Bulamogi County MP Kenneth Lubogo raised a matter of National Importance questioning why government had not taken a step to declare a ‘dead’ academic year given the Covid-19 pandemic.
The MP also noted the unclear communication on the opening up of school from different government institutions.
The Tuesday afternoon meeting that was attended by Finance Minister, Matia Kasaija, was summoned by Kadaga over the controversy of the regarding Bridges that are supposed to run from Kayunga to Kuva Island and another from Kuva Island to Kamuli side. The speaker has severally demanded for answers from the Finance Ministry why the works on the Bridges have stalled.
Kasaija who appeared in Parliament at 11;00 am to meet with Kadaga and Isimba Dam contractors was also sighted at lunch time in Parliament but was not present for plenary sessions which kicked of at 3;00pm.
