In his communication to the House on Wednesday, Oulanyah said that he had held a meeting with the Government Chief Whip, the Minister of Security, the Minister of State for Internal Affairs and the Leader of the Opposition over the matter and that they came to some agreement of how they will handle the situation he described as difficult.
During the heated debate, Mpuuga led his members out of Parliament in protest and the team has for the second day boycotted Sittings of Parliament until the two MPs are released.
The Opposition Chief Whip, John Baptist Nambeshe, says that they were prompted to take the decision because of the continued incarceration of MPs in non-gazetted areas.
President Museveni has in the past criticized provision of bail to suspected capital offenders and on Monday, he clashed with the Chief Justice Alphonse Owiny Dollo on the issue of granting bail to persons accused of capital offences pending determination of their cases.
