In her presentation to Parliament, Aceng noted that her Ministry is preparing to table the Public Health Bill next week to cater for a number of issues including mandatory vaccination, wearing of masks and penalties. The Minister did not reveal more details about the proposed law.
In his statement, Ssemujju said that the DRC government had briefed the country’s Parliament and gone ahead to obtain parliamentary clearance for the ongoing fighting in its provinces of Ituri and North Kivu.
Attorney General Kiryowa Kiwanuka explained to the committee that there are definitely consequences if Uganda does not meet its contractual obligation, and that he had advised the Ministry of Finance against continued re-negotiation of the contract, saying although it is not the best contract, it is not a bad one either.
