The 5X-MAH blue-white ribbon police helicopter that delivered the mourner Maj Gen (Rtd) Kahinda Otafiire, the Minister of Internal Affairs, landed at a football pitch located in the middle of Rwashamaire Town Council twice, first at 11:50 am and later at 1:15 pm bringing business and prayers to a standstill.

MPs Decry Slow Pace of Key Electricity Projects compensation 2 1 Top story

The concern was raised by members of the Natural Resources Committee of Parliament who are currently visiting parts of western Uganda, to study the extent of power penetration in the areas of Masaka, Mbarara, Kasese and Fort Portal, among others. They are bothered that some projects which were launched in 2014 have not yet started.

The MPs who were on a field trip to Western Uganda to ascertain the level of electricity penetration in the area, expressed the concern while visiting substations in Masaka, Ntungamo and Kasese districts, where they were told that electricity supply to Rwanda, Tanzania, and Kenya is uninterrupted.

Ruhaama FDC Candidate Petitions EC Over Rival's Academic Papers 3 2

In his petition, Nuwagaba, says that he inspected the nomination papers of his opponent on October 22nd, 2020 at the Ntungamo Electoral Commission offices and found out that his rival completed his bachelors of law degree under the mature-age entry in 2019, a year after completing his Uganda Certificate of Education in 2018 from Entebbe secondary school.
