Bernard Bamwine, the Spokesperson of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, says they have allowed the petitioners to stay longer in the compound and use peaceful means to present their petition.
Dr. Benon M. Mutambi, the Internal Affairs Ministry Permanent Secretary, said they had expected over 50 officers to attend the training but majority of them dropped out leaving the 22 officers. She said the minister will redeploy the officers since they have acquired extra skills, which should be utilized.
The General Court Martial Chairperson, Lt. Gen Andrew Gutti convicted Odaga on his own plea of guilt to all the five charges slapped against him by the state. He was charged with three accounts of murder, attempted murder and aggravated robbery.
