Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Patrick Onyango, identified the arrested suspects as Nyanzi Issa, Ssali Ronald, Charity Nabuto and Ketrah Nansimbe. Onyango said the operation was intended to minimize cases of traders encouraging phone snatching through buying them from criminals.
The Fourth Infantry Division spokesperson, Maj. Caesar Olweny confirmed to URN on Thursday afternoon the additional troop deployment in the district. He says the soldiers will help beef security within the district and ensure that what happened on their military installation never reoccurs.

Now, fresh information shows that local leaders in the district started issuing distress calls to security personnel about the suspicious men in December last year. The latest reports were made two weeks before the attacks.
