Those arrested include a group of 15 students from Makerere University, who started marching from Nasser Road. However, they were intercepted at at railway grounds.
The two separate incidents happened on Wednesday following the rains that lasted for 4 hours before bursting the major rivers in Narwosi and Katanga cells.
Josephine Angucia, the West Nile Region Police Spokesperson described the deployment as normal and preventive. According to Angucia, they received an intelligence report about the planned protest.
