News of the withdraw of police officers from all KCCA installations and homes of Directors started circulating on Sunday night until was confirmed on Monday afternoon by Police Spokesperson, Fred Enanga.
The Deputy Police Spokesperson, Polly Namaye, says the Police Council resolved last week to empower RPCs to transfer non gazzeted officers under their jurisdiction.
Kisembo served as IGP from 1998 to 2001 and was replaced by Gen Katumba Wamala, the current Works State Minister. Police Chief Political Commissar, Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP), Asan Kasingye confirmed news of Kisembo’s passing on his twitter handle at 6pm.
