Although the situation was eventually contained by joint efforts of security agencies; the residents are blaming them for not giving affected communities updates on the pursuit of the killers.
The deceased has been identified as Jonathan Ssemwogere, a resident of Kyassonko village, Busubi parish, Kisekka sub-county. The incident happened today leaving the community members shocked.

The deceased are identified as Maria Nakato, 78, a resident of Kitenga in Masaka and Henry Kiremba, 81, a retired medical officer from Kyoko village, Kingo sub-county in Lwengo district. The killers allegedly broke into the houses of the victims and stabbed them with blunt objects.
Muhammad Nsubuga, the Masaka Regional Police spokesperson, says that the assailants used a blunt object to strike the deceased on the head several times.
John Kabanda, 60, a resident of Bigando village and Vincent Kalya, 40, of Nzizi village, in Kkingo sub-county, were waylaid and killed by assailants on Wednesday night.
Peter Akampurira, the Lwengo District Police Commander, says that they have taken the deceased’s bodies to Masaka Regional Referral Hospital for postmortem.
Apollo Jjuuko Kasiita, the Lwengo Resident District Commissioner, says the piglets were delivered at the time of the Foot-and-Mouth quarantine without the required documents.
Peter Akampurira, the Lwengo District Police Commander, says that they have launched a manhunt for the assailants. According to eyewitnesses, the assailants were donning police jackets but Akampurira says criminals use anything to disguise their operation.
It is said that Tugume, 47, hacked his wife Rose Katushabe 24, and the baby and dumped their amputated bodies in a pit latrine. Tugume and Katushabe had a longstanding dispute which local leaders and community members tried to address in vain. But residents were concerned when Katushabe went missing for a week after a fight with her husband, yet her known mobile number was off.
Miriam Kagaiga Mugisha, the Lwengo Deputy Resident District Commissioner, who chaired the meeting, says the decision is meant to enforce the guidelines by the Health Ministry against the spread of the Coronavirus Disease-Covid19.
Muhammad Nsubuga, the Greater Masaka Regional Police Spokesperson, says the postmortem revealed several injuries on the deceased’s head and bruises on the neck. He says they have arrested three people including the bar owner where Katumwa was last seen.
