UNRA Suspends Masindi Port Ferry Operation After Engine Breakdown River Nile 1 1

Charles Alex Bogere, the Ferry Master at Masindi Port says one of the engines became fault while in motion crossing the river with passengers promoting them to immediately suspending operation. Whereas a team of UNRA engineers are already working on the faulty engine, Bogere told URN they are not yet aware about when the ferry may resume operation.

Gov’t Starts Compensating Pader District Residents UNRA 2 1

Under first section that covered Rwekunye, Akokoro, Ibuje up to Apac town, some 395 residents were evaluated but only 320 have so far been paid in full their compensation. Without divulging the total amount spent on this, Mark Ssali, the UNRA Communication Officer told the residents are being paid compensation as per the market value of [property affected and in line with the recommendation of the government chief valuer.
