UCU Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Academics Rev Dr John Kitayimbwa says that as they ponder the way forward, a new arrangement was sought through which all students will be required to purchase MTN sim cards that will give them access to internet hotspots within the university campus.
Helen Akidi, one of the vendors told Uganda Radio Network-URN in an interview that closure of toilets forced some vendors to resort to use of empty water bottles and buckets to ease themselves.
On September 2, 2019, the Government of Uganda and Tooro Kingdom signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the return of the kingdom assets. King Oyo signed on behalf of the kingdom, while President Yoweri Museveni and the Attorney General William Byaruhanga represented the government.
