Simon Muguluma a taxi driver notes that they are now choosing to stay in traffic jam for almost six hours on one stretch of Mbalala-Bweyogerere when it rains, rather than using shortcuts where they get stranded or vehicles break down making them incur heavy expenses.
Uganda National Roads Authority –UNRA embarked on the emergency repairs of sections along the road, covering the stretch from Nakawa to Mukono, a job tendered to a Serbian firm; Energy project-Niskogradnja. The work Which was intended to improve the pavement surface started in July 2019 and was initially planned to take nine months.
