Gloria Lakisa, a senior three student of Kitgum Standard High School was among dozens of patients who couldn’t be examined because she couldn’t afford Shillings 1,000 to buy examination gloves.
The ceremony started with a procession through Laguti Sub County and followed by a thanksgiving prayer which was led by the Anglican Bishop of Kitgum Diocese Wilson Kitara among other clergy from different denominations.
More than 1,500 people from different walks of lives were in attendance at the open ground in Laguti Primary School.
The works include construction of a maternity ward, placenta pit, a solar pump water system, solar lighting system and twin staff quarters among others valued at Shillings 1.5 billion.
