Patrick Kinyera, the Gulu District Secretary for Works and Technical Services says that the rehabilitation will close the gaps of maintenance of the roads in the District.
The charcoal bags were impounded from Amuru and Gulu districts during an operation against illegal charcoal dealers in Acholi Sub Region manned by NFA and the Environmental Police Protection Unit.
Haruna Busobozi, the Northern Region National Forestry Authority Sector Manager, says that the charcoal was impounded in the ongoing joint crackdown by NFA, Environmental Police Protection Unit and the local leaders of the respective districts in Acholi Sub –Region.
