Bishop-elect Joseph Kizito was born in Wakaliga, Kampala, in the Archdiocese of Kampala, in 1967. He was educated in Uganda, Rome and Pretoria, South Africa. He was ordained into the priesthood in September 1997 in Aliwal Diocese, Eastern Cape, South Africa.
