In an August 15th letter to Andrew Kitaka, the Acting Executive Director, Kampala Capital City Authority, the Deputy Inspector General of Government, Mariam Wangadya notes that the Inspectorate of Government is in receipt of several complaints where in it is alleged that Komugisha is corrupt and has exhibited unethical conduct while executing her duties.
The directive by the IGP was prompted by a petition by Elias Nuwagaba, a staff whose dismissal from the university was set aside by the university Staff Appeals Tribunal early this year.
Sources in the university say employees from the Estates and Works Department accessed Kitumba’s residence on Monday evening under the instruction of the acting Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor William Bazeyo and removed the water and electricity meters effectively cutting off supply.
