Speaking to URN, Kakooza expressed frustration and disappointment with the way Kawempe Police Division has handled the case. Despite seeking assistance to review security footage near the crime scene, officers refused, citing bureaucratic protocols.

Angume was injured by a tear gas canister fired by his colleague targeting the protesters. Luke Owoyesigire, the Deputy Spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan Police confirmed the officer was injured but didn’t divulge details.
While one group, led by one Harriet Nakazibwe, is pushing to seek redress from the court of appeal, another group of 46 people has withdrawn from the case citing misleading, politicization of the matter and lack of trust in the court system. A section of other residents is pushing for compensation.
The residents have signed a petition with a litany of accusations against Nsamba. He is accused of among others being involved in land wrangles, forging land agreements, connivance with land grabbers and damaging the, property of residents, food crops and planning illegal arrests of residents for his selfish interests.
