Nkurunziza led over ten police officers attached to Entebbe Police Station to a garden with beans, bananas and sweet potatoes in Nkumba-Bukolwa village on Thursday evening and pointed to the spot where he said he buried Twinomugisha's remains, indicating where the head and feet were located.
This follows Namuli’s statement denying receipt of such compensation from the government. She also refuted claims linking her as a legitimate granddaughter and the administrator of the Late Antwane Kalete to whom the compensation was paid in lieu.
Douglas Asiimwe, the Ag. Commissioner for Refugees at the Office of the Prime Minister told journalists on Friday that they had planned to receive an estimated sixty thousand new arrivals but with the influx of refugees from the war-ridden neighboring DR Congo, they have so far registered sixty-three thousand and now expecting up to one hundred thousand new arrivals by end of the year.
The ex-captives have been identified as, Charles Nyeko, Betty Achiro, Amos Odera, Omal Denis and one person only identified as Aketo. They are all residents of Orom East and Kiteny in the Kitgum district.
