Some FDC party members, who spoke to URN shortly after Besigye’s announcement, said they will pursue other means to ensure that he appears on the 2021 presidential ballot.
Besigye said that Elections is Plan A which he has decided to leave for another person while he takes care of his unrevealed plan B reiterating his all-time commitment that he will never leave the struggle to overthrow President Museveni's regime before victory is achieved.
The business community says that the posters which have been fixed on almost all signposts and roadside buildings are making the structures untidy. To others, the signage sends a wrong signal about their choice of candidates, yet they have no connection to the candidates whose posters are pinned all over their buildings.
The party opened a two day’s exercise calling for those who meet the qualifications to carry the FDC flag in the forthcoming general elections to do so. On the first day of the exercise, the party's National Chairman Wasswa Biriggwa was the only candidate who picked the forms.
