According to Nantaba, the constitution grants her a right to support a candidate of her choice and that right cannot be taken away by any person.

Sylvia Tegyeza, the Rakai District Registrar, said that the aspirants were ready with their nomination forms, but were yet to be stamped by the Chief Magistrate Patrick Kityo who was not in the office.

Paul Bukenya, the EC Spokesperson attributed the delay to the thorough verification of the aspirants’ documents.

The two-day exercise will start on Monday and end on Tuesday.
