In all the six districts in the region, NRM party delegates overwhelming voted for both Kadaga and Tana for the positions of Second Vice-Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson for Eastern Region respectively.
Lamwaka who was among the 89 NRM delegates eligible for voting in Kitgum arrived at about 4:05 pm at Acaki Lodge Polling station in Kitgum Municipality, five minutes after voting had closed.
Emmanuel Mbonye, one of the delegates, says the system is likely to fuel disunity in the party. He says in the past candidates would celebrate with all voters irrespective of whether or not they voted for them since it was done through secret ballot.

Kyagulanyi's lawyer, Medard Lubega Ssegona told court that the applicants served them late with their defense, saying they want them to appear in person for cross examination. He explained that they have serious questions that they need the respondents to answer before the case proceeds.
