A report presented by Hakim Kizza, the Executive Secretary for Engineering and Works to the KCCA council on Thursday, indicates that the city executive committee had held a meeting with the technical staff and agreed to have the park reopened.
The US Ambassador to Uganda Natalie E. Brown handed over an initial donation of USD 1.6 million (6 billion Shillings) representing the first-year of funding for a five-year partnership between the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Kampala Capital City Authority to improve health services in the Kampala Metropolitan area.
