NRM supporters had argued that with the infrastructural development, the elevation of Gulu to a city status, the rapid economic recovery, as well as peace and stability in Acholi sub-region, the tide would change in favour of the ruling party. But area politicians believe that such developments cannot translate into votes.
The Party president administered the oath for another set of party leaders on Friday, discarding the structures inaugurated by the former party’s Acting National Organizing Secretary Shafick Ddembe.

Joseph Kamuli, the Bukomansimbi district DP Organizing Secretary, accuses the implicated officials for double dealing between DP and the ruling National Resistance Movement-NRM party.
The others are; Isaac Lwanga, the Butenda sub county district councilor, also district’s DP mobilization secretary and Holix Yiga, the Party vice chairperson for Bukomansimbi North constituency.
