In their impeachment letter dated 3rd, January 2022, which was received by both the office of the Speaker of Parliament and officials from the Ministry of Gender, the chiefs say that Busoga Lukiiko members fraudulently approved a motion to allow Gabula to rule for life after his term expired in 2019.

During the hearing on Tuesday, Galisonga’s lawyer, John Isabirye explained that they filed their petition on March 24, 2021, and the first respondent filed their response on April 6, 2021. He noted that it was inappropriate for the respondents to file supplementary affidavits three months later.
After council failure to consider their complaints, Kadama led her colleagues into chaotic shouts amidst the budget approval process, which prompted security operatives to throw her out of the council hall.
"I am a responsible citizen who diligently resigned from civil service before joining active politics but, such falsehoods are being orchestrated by detractors aimed at deterring me from focusing on implementing my five year leadership agenda," Namukose says.
“As a kingdom, we are under no obligation to make political commentary over the election processes of the speaker of parliament of the republic, but we cannot say that, all is well with us, because our prayer was that we get more and more of our illustrious sons and daughters in more lucrative positions without losing any, we didn’t see this coming and we didn’t know the scheme was deep, well calculated and spirited,” he said in a statement.
Musumba applied for substituted service on claims that Kadaga or her agents had declined to receive the petition in which she is accused of involvement in vote-rigging and voter bribery during the recently concluded parliamentary elections.
Addressing elected NUP leaders at their retreat at the Jinja based Nile resort hotel, Kyagulanyi said that they were elected due to their humility and pledges for improved service delivery. He warned that if they choose luxurious lifestyles, they might be compromised to ignore the core principles for, which they were elected into their respective political offices.
While closing their two-day retreat at the Jinja based Nile Resort Hotel on Saturday, the NUP leaders resolved to adopt the oath as a working document for all leaders throughout their political tenures. Led by their president, Robert Kyagulanyi, the leaders also passed seven resolutions, which will foster the continued transformation and visibility of their party throughout the country.
