The first session of the August House commenced on May 24th, 2021 under the late former Speaker of parliament, Jacob Oulanya L’Okori who succumbed to cancer on March 20th, 2022 after presiding over Parliament for only nine months.
According to Museveni, the money meant to pay people who lost their cattle during insurgencies in Omoro district and Acholi Sub-region and other areas is readily available and urged the locals to disregard the opposition lies.

"We have not found evidence to support the Appellant's allegations of bribery against the first Respondent/Muhwezi.
