Baroza was the former Personal Assistant to the former Inspector General of Police, Kale Kayihura before he was deployed as the Uganda Police Force Liaison Officer to Algeria in 2017. He was recalled to the Police headquarters in May 2018 for reassignment in vain.
The investigations started in November 2016, just two months after the then Inspector General of Police, Kale Kayihura passed out the officers from Kabalye Police Training School. Munira Ali, the Spokesperson of the Inspectorate of Government, says investigations are still ongoing.
Five bailiffs were severely injured when residents put up a spirited fight against an eviction order issued on May 22, by Justice David Batema. The order followed a petition filed by Moses Elogu, Petero Epalu, Joseph Eunyu, Charles Ajaku, Julius Otaya, Samwiri Eletu and Stephen Ewidu against one John Wabwire.
According to Magezi, about 10 people raided his home at around 3:00am on Monday morning and started stoning his window panes and breaking the door. He was rescued by police, which arrived at around 5:30am and picked up some suspects.
