It is alleged that a Nursing Assistant identified as Charles Bwambale asked her to pay 100,000 Shillings for the purchase of items that she would require in the process. Often mothers are asked to have surgical gloves, exam gloves, plastic sheeting, razor blades, cotton wool, gauze pad, soap, cord ties, and a child health card, by the time they report to Hospital.
The suspects were arrested on Saturday in Lujorongole Village armed with clubs, catapult, stones and metal objects. They were reportedly stopping vehicles and searching the occupants, a short distance from where hundreds of people had gathered to send off the mother to Gulu Resident District Commissioner Maj Santos Okot Lapolo.
