The Police deployed shot live bullets during an exchange between them and a rowdy mob mostly boda boda riders. The protestors reportedly wanted to burn the police patrol car blaming it for causing an accident which claimed the life of their colleague.

Assailants Kill Former UN Employee in Kasangati 3 1

According to Owoyesigyire, Muwonge met his death in the wee hours of Monday morning. His lifeless body was found by one of his relatives covered in a Polythene bag outside in his compound. Owoyesigyire says that the assailants took off with the deceased’s mobile phones, saying that they are treating the case as an aggravated robbery.

Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police spokesperson identifies the deceased as 27-year-old James Eyangu, the former president of Makerere College of Veterinary Medicine. He graduated on Wednesday in Biomedical Laboratory Technology.

Thugs Kill One, Critically Injure Another in Arua 2 3

The 23-year-old Jonathan Econi, a resident of Ndriva village former Dadamu Sub County Ayivu East in Arua City was found lying lifeless in a pool of blood along Arua-Mvara road in the wee hours of this morning. Econi’s colleague William Ocatre was clobbered and his jaws smashed by the thugs. He is currently hospitalised at Arua Regional Referral hospital.

Police Intercepts Gate Way bus Trafficking 17 Karimojong Children

Security intercepted the vehicle at the same checkpoint where the bus was intercepted. Guard Murungi, the Napak District Police Commander, says that they also arrested the driver and conductor of the bus, saying they will appear in court today.

Two Medics, UPDF Officer in Custody Over Theft of Gov’t Drugs 1

Moses Mugwe, the Bukedi South Police Spokesperson told URN that police intercepted the trio along customs road in an operation led by Tororo District Police Commander, Rogers Chebene. He says that the suspects are in custody at Tororo Central Police Station on charges of illegal possession of government drugs.
