Justice Stephen Mubiru said he was convinced beyond reasonable doubt that Omuria committed the offence. Justice Mubiru said that he based on the testimony of the victim’s son who told the court that after they were chased from the house, he peeped through the makeshift door and saw Omuria raping her mother.

Florence Oryem and Michael Ouna were arrested on Wednesday and later on the day produced before Gulu Grade Magistrates Court on charges of malicious damage.
Prosecution alleges that the two on 30th of May this year mobilised hundreds of residents who demolished two grass thatched huts and several household properties belonging to Florence Adong, a witchdoctor operating in the area.
The charges include incitement of violence, disobedience of lawful orders and going armed in certain places contrary to section 75 (b) of the penal code act. Other counts include failure to prevent obstruction of traffic flow, confusion, or disorders during a public meeting contrary to Public Order Management Act, and failure to give right of way contrary to the traffic and road safety act.
