Trouble started following a quarrel in the police cells. Alaku, who was on guard duty reportedly rushed to see what was happening. He opened the door to the cells to see what was happening but the suspects started fighting him.
The Ibanda District Police Commander, Emily Angomoku, says he was informed on Sunday evening that the suspect had hanged himself in police cells. “We have started investigations in the suicide as we wait for a postmortem report,” he said.
