The UPDF soldier whose gun was stolen was attached to the home of Mityana deputy Resident District Commissioner. Police Spokesperson, Fred Enanga, earlier said the gun was stolen on February 13 and later used in robbery of a mobile money operator in Mubende district.
A police officer at the same rank with Okot told Uganda Radio Network –URN on Saturday that the officer is diabetic and had been warned against alcohol consumption in vain.
Police Spokesperson, Fred Enanga, confirmed that teams from Criminal Investigation Directorate – CID headquarters and Flying Squad Unit –FSU have been dispatched to join territorial police in Busoga East to ensure Sheikh Mutumba’s assailants are arrested.
