Addressing journalists at Uganda Media Center on Thursday afternoon, the Internal Affairs State Minister, Mario Obiga Kania, said all vehicles that defy the presidential directives should be impounded and drivers be punished.
Reports indicate that a group of people employed by Abid Alam attacked homes and a farm at Bukompe village razing all plantations and demolishing houses. The head of the State House Anti Corruption Unit Lt Col Edith Nakalema said the eviction was followed by disturbing pictures of rape, and destruction of property among others.
Lt. Col Edith Nakalema, the head of the Statehouse Anti-Corruption Unit, notes that her unit carried out a special investigation on the on-going COVID-19 food procurement exercise and established that the accounting officers in the Office of the Prime Minister were inflating prices for maize flour and beans procured as relief food for vulnerable families.
