The suspects whose names have been concealed for fear of jeopardizing police investigations are accused of allegedly murdering Domian Byaruhanga, a resident of Kifumura village in Kyohairwe parish Buhanika sub county of Hoima district.
Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police spokesperson, security officials in the region are bothered by the increasing murder cases. He attributes the murders to land wrangles, domestic violence witchcraft, property disputes and alcohol abuse among others.

They argue that the security personnel are partisan by siding with the National Resistance Movement-NRM Party. They also accuse the Electoral Commission of failing to take charge of the whole electoral process.
Iddi Magezi, the Bwikya Ward Councilor says some people approached Kwaligonza recently and connected power to her house, which they have been using to trap grasshoppers. He suspects that they could have connected the electricity wrongly.
The suspects are believed to be the ring leaders who mobilized NUP supporters from various parts of Hoima City to block the Hoima-Fort Portal road who were protesting the arrest of Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi wine, the President National Unity Platform-NUP.
