RDC Fatuma Ndisaba says this is the only way teachers in private schools have been surviving unlike their counterparts in the government schools who keep receiving their normal salaries. David Kiwalabye, a teacher from one of the private schools wonders whether the President closed schools or he banned teachers from teaching.
Citing Kisowera parish in Nama sub-county, Mukono district, Ssebaggala, said that the illegal settlers started destroying and stealing church property including the two acres of eucalyptus trees which they cut and sold. He said that the squatters have also started selling off plots of land and erecting buildings on the land.

Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesman, says that the three policemen who were on patrol found people operating normally past curfew hours and ordered them to close their businesses to go home. According to Owoyesigyire, when they resisted, Gerald Agaba opened fire killing Nsejje instantly. He adds that when the SPCs tried to disarm Agaba, he shot them too.
