In his affidavit, Kyiwa argues that there is no justifiable reason for holding the logs, adding that his repeated appeals to the relevant authorities to release the impounded logs have been futile prompting him to turn to court.
The Kitgum Municipal Council Speaker, Daniel Oroma, says the existing laws are silent on inducting lower local government leaders. He however, says he has already written to the Local Government ministry to organize orientation for the new leaders.
Lutukumoi however, says he was convinced to return to his party after the grand DP reunion on August 3, 2018 because the party leaders have taken laudable steps to address the trivial conflicts that had always bedeviled Ugandas oldest party.
