On Tuesday, the Chairperson of Local Government Finance Commission, Dr Agnes Atim Adea, unveiled that regions development plan budget for the districts of Ntoroko, Kabarole, Bunyangabu, Kasese, Kamwenge, Kyenjojo, Bundibugyo and Kyegegwa and Fort Portal Municipality.
Mugarama says the ministers decision is too political and unacceptable. He wonders how the minister would invite a minister to commission an institute that was built with government funds without involving the district chairman. According to Mugarama, he has already written to Muyingo asking him not to turn up for the event because they already invited President Museveni to preside over it in November.
The report observes that a one-shot stimuli to growth in the last decade could have helped Ugandan agriculture and promoted significant poverty alleviation, but likely will not be able to provide the same level of continued stimulus for new growth.
