Last month, Francis Banyange a parent petitioned the office of the Kabarole Resident District Commissioner RDC, Stephen Asiimwe; the Mayor Fort Portal municipality, Rev Willy Kintu Muhanga; among others, arguing that there is extortion and misuse of funds at the government-owned school.
On Tuesday, the Chairperson of Local Government Finance Commission, Dr Agnes Atim Adea, unveiled that regions development plan budget for the districts of Ntoroko, Kabarole, Bunyangabu, Kasese, Kamwenge, Kyenjojo, Bundibugyo and Kyegegwa and Fort Portal Municipality.
The policy promotes agro-processing, focusing on food processing, leather and leather products, textiles and garments; promoting knowledge-based industries in research and education and improving infrastructure development for an effective and efficient industrial park.
Rusoke Nyakato, the former Kabarole District FDC chairperson, told URN that they are going to do everything possible to ensure that the main objectives of The New Formation are known by everyone in the region.
He pledged to engage the president on all the issues raised by teachers through their body for redress. The Kabarole district LC V chairman, Richard Rwabuhinga appreciated the fact that government has constructed classroom blocks in some schools.
The members include Nyakato Rusoke, the district party chairperson; Robert Mutunzi, the Secretary General; Peter Mwesigwa, the District Youth Chairperson, and Joram Bintamanya, the FDC chairperson Fort Portal Municipality. The members argue that the party has frustrated their efforts of building strong party foundation starting from the grassroots.
The health workers will be vaccinated using the Ebola Zaire vaccine. The vaccine is expected to arrive in the country today afternoon however vaccination will only start once the use of the vaccine has been approved by the Institutional Review Board-IRB.
