A team from Parliament’s National Economy Committee had gone to monitor ongoing works at the 30-acre facility along the Kampala-Entebbe Road. The MPs sought permission from the Health Ministry to visit the site.
Ronald Kamya, a member of Wesige Mukama Bamugolodde Health Scheme, says the scheme is affordable compared to general insurance services. Kamya says he pays Shillings 72,000 for all his family members and co-payment of Shillings 30,000 whenever any of them falls sick.
The Chairperson of Kyambogo University Academic Staff Association Dr Grace Lubaale told Uganda Radio Network that lecturers will remain off duty until their issues are cleared. Dr Lubaale told the staff to remain home until government clears the arrears of the proposed salary enhancement.
In his judgment, Justice Kakuru pointed out that out of a population of close to 40 million Ugandans, only 22 individuals, eight Government ministries, 15 commissions or agencies including the Rt.
