Naigaga sustained injuries on the head and neck and bled to death. Her lifeless body was retrieved by the neighbors who told URN that the couple was embroiled in endless fights and efforts to reconcile them didn’t produce results.
the couple used to be peaceful and a source of inspiration for many young families within the area. However, following the covid-19 lockdown in which Byakika lost his bar business and started living permanently with his wife, the two started engaging in endless fights.
The suspects are Medias Behemurwaki, who is wife to the deceased and two of her sons Ronald Talemwa and Francis Wamani, all residents of Mburamaizi village in Kinyarugonjo Sub County in Kagadi district.
The angry residents had attempted to lynch him on allegations that he had made it a habit to routinely batter his wife and children on a daily basis. However, police officers dispersed the crowd and arrested him.
Joseph Lyagoba, a resident of the area says that they were shocked to learn about the incident since Waiswa was known for cherishing his family. “It is hard for me to believe what just befell us, Waiswa was an exemplary husband who would even leave the trading center much earlier than anyone of us because he always wanted to spend more time with his children,” he said.
