The bypass is a 15 kilometer stretch from Kitumba East Division Fort PortaI, through Kataraka, Nyakagongo, Kyegobe to Kacwamba along the Fort Portal-Kasese road. It was supposed to be constructed together with the Fort Portal -Kamwenge road.
