Baluku, who is also eyeing the Kasese Municipality parliamentary seat, was picked up together with Walid Mako as they were planning to launch the NUP offices in Nyakasanga division in Kasese municipality on Tuesday afternoon.
The suspects were arrested on Saturday in Lujorongole Village armed with clubs, catapult, stones and metal objects. They were reportedly stopping vehicles and searching the occupants, a short distance from where hundreds of people had gathered to send off the mother to Gulu Resident District Commissioner Maj Santos Okot Lapolo.
The group alleged that some of its members are missing while others have either been injured or killed. Its spokesperson Joel Senyonnyi tasked the police to investigate cases where some people power leaders and coordinators are being targeted across the country.

According to Opio, Wolfson was deported out of Entebbe on Sunday at 11.45pm through KLM Flight 537 for allegedly using her NGO to fund Bobi Wine and the People Power campaign. Opio claims that Wolfsons travel papers were signed before she was picked up.
