According to Masaka Regional Police Spokesperson Muhamad Nsubuga, the deceased has been identified as Lydia Nakabubi. She is from the same family that lost three members in the accident, which claimed 14 lives on the spot, on Thursday morning.
According to Masaka regional police commander, Godfrey Mwesigye police has so far managed to identify two people and is still struggling to get identities of other people because they did not have identification documents.
The deceased is identified as Mathias Mawanda, a reserve force officer attached to Masaka Town Reserve Force Office. According to the fuel station manager Pauline Birabwa, the guard’s body was found dumped behind one of the cars that were parked at the fuel station during the time of the attack.
