On Wednesday morning, several cleaners gathered at the Constitutional Square, holding placards and brooms, dressed in their cleaning uniforms, and began singing and celebrating, believing their struggles were finally over. A peaceful procession to City Hall was also planned to mark the removal of the allegedly ineffective leaders.
During the presentation of the budget to council in January 2020, the Ag. KCCA Executive Director, Andrew Kitaka expressed fear that the money hadn't been added to the KCCA budget, saying they would seek its inclusion such that the authority can spend it.

Kiconco wants court to declare that the contested land belongs to him and the occupants are there illegally. He faults KCCA for failing to demolish property illegally erected on his land. He also faults Namuganza for overstepping her ministerial powers when she directed the occupants to stay on the contented land until she communicates otherwise.
The extension will allow property owners who couldn’t file their objections to the property rates and be heard by July 1st 2019 to do so for remedial action. The extension follows a request by KCCA to the Kampala Minister to extend the time within, which the valuation court chaired by Wandera Ogalo will hear, the complaints.
