Nabwire and her five other family members, all residents of Bukamba village, in Idudi town council ate supper together on Monday but failed to move out of their house in the morning raising suspicion from the neighbors.
Prior to the mob action against them, the suspects led by Tony Mukasa handed over purported magic sticks to three residents with promises of making miracle money under the palm of their hands. They then claimed the sticks had dissolved into their victims' bodies and could cause death.
The deceased has been identified as Daniel Agama, a mentally impaired resident of Nakamini village, in Namalemba sub-county, Bugweri district. The suspect, whose particulars have been concealed for the purposes of aiding investigations, was guarding Naigombwa Seed Secondary School at the time of the incident.

The deceased’s grandfather, Muhamudu Kakaire had gone to the garden and left the toddler under the care of his siblings. His seven-year-old brother is said to have locked the toddler inside the house and went to play with his friends only to return home and find the house engulfed with smoke.
