Delayed Electric Fencing of Murchison Falls National Park Fueling Human-Wildlife Conflict stray wild animals 2 1

Last year in October, Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) announced that it would install 30 Kilometers of low voltage electric fencing in major human-wildlife conflict hotspots in Murchison Falls National Park. Each Kilometre will cost 50 Million shillings.

Over 1,000 Acres of Crop Gardens Destroyed by Stray Elephants in Nwoya Purongo Sub County 1 3

Felix Onencan, a farmer in Agung village says he has suffered unimaginable loss after the elephants destroyed his crops and shuttered his investment. He told URN that he procured a bank loan and hired 300 acres of land on which he planted soybean which has all been ruined.
