Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police spokesperson told Uganda Radio Network on Monday that 27 out of the 42 suspects were released on police bond over the weekend as per the advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions-DPP.
The clashes between the lendu and Bagegere tribes erupted at the beginning of last week in the areas of Joo, Muvaramu, Mkpi, Thuruges, Tara and Roo in Bunia district.
By Tuesday, 350 refugees had arrived and registered at Sebigoro reception centre.
Musa Ecweru, the Minister for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and refugees said they have received communication from their counterparts in the Democratic republic of Congo that fresh tribal clashes between the lendu and Bagegere erupted at the beginning of this week in Ituri province adding that thousands had started fleeing.
