According to the cause list issued by Justice Wilson J. Kwesiga the head of Criminal Division, Justice Mugenyi will handle forty cases in the next forty days at Luweero high court. The cause list includes 16 aggravated defilement cases and 15 murder cases. Other cases include four rape cases, three aggravated robbery cases, one kidnap and one indecent assault case.
The Prosecution led by Beatrice Alok Odongo, the Luweero Resident State Attorney told the court that during August 2016, Minani unlawfully performed sexual acts with his daughter, then aged 12, despite being her biological father.
Justice Okwanga ruled that the phone be confiscated and the owner pays a fine of 30,000 Shillings for interrupting the court session. He said that Nabbanja breached the ground rules of the court which instructs all people to maintain silence and switch off the phone as indicated on signposts spread all over the court.
